Pointers

[edit]

Welcome to wikipedia. If you see your edits reverted, then it's a good idea to use the appropriate talk page to justify your changes. Please also take a look at Wikipedia:Image markup and format your images correctly. Please also not that undocumented images will be eventually deleted for potential copyright infringement. State on the image description page where you got it from. --Jiang 23:48, 23 Mar 2004 (UTC)

TIBET

[edit]

Hello, You posted a picture saying "Tibetan Muslims," on the Tibet page. Those don't really look like Muslims to me, but I could be wrong. Where did you get the picture from? ---User:Dagestan

Hi there, newcomer. I've noticed you're uploading loads of pictures.

You really have to add copyright information when you upload stuff, or else people will have to delete them, which would be a waste. Also, it's best not to use .bmp images. Only use .png or .jpg. — Chameleon Main/Talk/Images 19:11, 4 Aug 2004 (UTC)

Generally nice work on Tibetan people, but please see my question to you at Talk:Tibetan people. Welcome aboard, glad to have you. -- Jmabel 19:04, Aug 22, 2004 (UTC)

Ngari pic

[edit]

Thanks for uploading the BMP version of Image:Ngari.jpg. I notice it currently doesn't have an image copyright tag. Could you add one to let us know its copyright status? (You can use {{gfdl}} if you release it under the GFDL, or {{fairuse}} if you claim fair use, etc.) Thanks so much, Quadell (talk) (help)[[]] 21:08, Oct 7, 2004 (UTC)

Unverified images

[edit]

Hi! Thanks for uploading the following image:

I notice it currently doesn't have an image copyright tag. Could you add one to let us know its copyright status? (You can use {{gfdl}} if you release it under the GNU Free Documentation License, {{fairuse}} if you claim fair use, etc.) If you don't know what any of this means, just let me know where you got the imagesand I'll tag them for you. Thanks so much. [[User:Poccil|Peter O. (Talk, automation script)]] 00:34, Dec 10, 2004 (UTC)

P.S. You can help tag other images at User:Yann/Untagged_Images. Thanks again.

Image Tagging Image:Muslim.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Muslim.jpg. I notice it currently doesn't have an image copyright tag, so its copyright status is therefore unclear. Please add a tag to let us know its copyright status. (If you created/took the picture then you can use {{gfdl}} to release it under the GFDL. If you can claim fair use use {{fairuse}}.) If you don't know what any of this means, just let me know on the image description page where you got the images and I'll tag them for you. Otherwise, see Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use. If you have uploaded other images, please check that you have tagged them, too. Note that any unsourced and untagged imaged will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thanks so much. --Sherool 17:53, 26 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
